Sharm el Sheik

One of the most developed resorts in Egypt, Sharm el Sheik is the 15km region along the Egyptian Red Sea coastline. It has a wealth of hotels, night clubs, restaurants, spas and golf courses – enough to satisfy even the most demanding of tourists. However, the traditional Egypt is never far away, with local tribes of Bedouins often frequenting the area and local markets selling leather goods and jewellery.

Surrounded by both mountains and sea, Sharm el Sheikh is set in an absolutely stunning location and is particularly well renowned for its excellent water sports including diving and windsurfing.

Just a few miles north is Na’ama Bay, somewhat smaller than Sharm el Sheik, but developing into a prosperous resort all on its own. Having an air of exclusivity, most of the hotels here are very upmarket, with their own private beach area and a range of boutiques and restaurants.

Likewise, nearby Shark’s Bay is another developing resort, particularly popular with watersport enthusiasts, due to the number of diving centres located around the region.

Another stunning inlet located within this beautiful stretch of coastline is Nabq Bay. A particularly cosmopolitan resort with a number of hotels, beaches and entertainment, Nabq Bay tends to cater for couples and families and has a more relaxing atmosphere, whilst allowing easy access to the more bustling and populated areas of Sharm el Sheik.
