Icmeler

Located in the south west region of Turkey, only eight miles from Marmaris and around two hours from Dalaman airport, the seaside town of Icmeler has only discovered tourism relatively recently, and is renowned for its cosmopolitan refinery, subtle design of hotels and great beach.

With mountains and pine forests protecting this beautiful bay, Icmeler is fast becoming a favourite of watersports enthusiasts and there are a range of activities available including diving and water skiing.

This region of Turkey normally experiences very high temperatures during the summer months, attracting dedicated sunworshippers, all keen to take advantage of the town’s gorgeous beach.

Icmeler has managed to retain is small town atmosphere, with traditional narrow streets and canals. However, that’s not to say it isn’t lively! As well as shops, bars and restaurants, there is also a traditional market every Wednesday – an ideal opportunity to test out your bartering skills.

Regular boat tips and cruises run from the town to small secluded villages and the nearby islands which are dotted around the coastline.

There is a vibrant nightlife scene here, without the loud nightclubs and drunken revellers – perfect for family holidays in Turkey. Many restaurants and bars feature live entertainment until around midnight.
