For those who are looking for a more upmarket holiday, Antalya offers a wealth of opportunity.

Situated on the beautiful coastline of south west Turkey, (known as the “Turkish Riviera”), nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Taurus mountains, Antalya is certainly a magnet for the “beautiful people”, with its prize-winning Marina and numerous golf courses nearby.

One of the most beautiful aspects of this ancient city is Kaleici, its old quarter. With its winding streets, old wooden houses and quaint shops, it offers the tourist a relatively peaceful and interesting afternoon.

Antalya has a host of shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs to ensure that evenings are always a lively affair.

Around the region, you can walk behind the stunning Upper Düden waterfall, or visit one of the many historical sites.

The resort of Belek is just a few minutes’ drive from Antalya and only around 27km from the airport. Belek has, in recent years, been extensively yet considerably developed, and subsequently has become a haven for golf enthusiasts, with its three golf courses; one designed by Nick Faldo himself. It also has a very long beach (around 16km), a firm favourite with sun worshippers. The nightlife here is more low key and suited to family holidays, with a handful of bars and restaurants but with most entertainment taking place within the hotels.
