Most of the island’s holiday resorts are sited in the north, the principal ones being in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

Montego Bay is a beautiful mix of natural beauty and artificially created resort facilities. Championship golf courses, shops and restaurants abound, overshadowed by the huge and beautiful Colonial houses.

Ocho Rios and its stunning surroundings makes another excellent choice. With its awe-inspiring waterfalls and pretty sandy beaches, it is the destination of choice for both celebrities and those simply looking for an all-inclusive Caribbean holiday.

Only a few miles west of Ocho Rios lies the town of the delightfully-named Runaway Bay. A favourite for tourists of all types, there is a private beach here and many tourist-focused facilities.

Negril, with its cliffs, lighthouses and lively beaches, is an ideal resort for families looking for something a little more lively.

Finally of course, there is the capital city of Jamaica, Kingston. Set at the foot of the Blue Mountain Peak, the city is fortunate enough to have a wealth of old architecture, most dating back over two hundred years.

The nightlife here is predictably active, with night clubs, jazz bars and more family-oriented cafes. This beautiful city is certainly well worth a visit during your holiday in Jamaica.
