Bordering Romania, Serbia, the Republic of Macedonia, Greece and Turkey, Bulgaria may not be one of the first places to spring to mind when thinking of somewhere to go for your next all-inclusive holiday, but it is certainly becoming one of Europe’s top tourist hotspots.

The scenery throughout Bulgaria is certainly varied, with seemingly never-ending mountains, forests, cliffs and beautiful secluded beaches to entice you. Resorts range from established coastal tourist areas with all the usual holiday facilities including watersports and shops, to small fishing villages, giving a more traditional feel to your holiday.

The main resorts in this beautiful and still-developing country are Albena and the aptly-named Golden Sands in the north of Bulgaria, and Obzor and the equally appropriately-titled Sunny Beaches in the south.

Tourism is still in its relatively early stages in Bulgaria, so there is still a strong tradition and culture among the locals, who are only too keen to share it with you. Enjoy their singing, their dancing and their overall love of life.

Although there are as yet a limited number of choices available for tourist accommodation in the country, each one offers excellent standards, fantastic amenities – and the opportunity to enjoy a holiday you’ll never forget.
